WiimoteConnect not used to calibrate the TNWii, it facilitates just the Bluetooth connection between the PC and the Wiimote.
This software is suitable for the following situations:
You do not connect the Wiimote to your PC via Bluetooth;
You want to win a few seconds and a few clicks whenever you put in motion the TNWii.
Depending on the options in the software, this is the mode of WiimoteConnect:
You start WiimoteConnect and activate the bluetooth on the Wiimote;
WiimoteConnect search automatically (or) Wiimote nearby and connect to;
The software closes and automatically launches third-party software that you set (as WiimoteWhiteboard for example);
Using the usual software to calibrate and use TNWii.
